M.U.S.E.U.M - Female Section

According to information found in the first volume about the life of St Gorg Preca written by Fr. Alexander Bonnici O.F.M. Conv. the section for girls in Senglea opened on the 7th of August of 1914. In fact in 2014 we celebrated the 100th year in Senglea.

The aim of our work is to promote the life and work of Jesus. Our apostolic work is not something that we can reap immediate benefits but in our work, especially regarding preparation for the Sacraments, we always do our best to prepare children and adolescents according to God's will. We also do apostolic work with parents by organising meetings specifically for them. These meetings take place mostly before the children take the Sacraments. In this way we not only prepare the children but also their families for these important events in the lives of these girls.

As part of our work in Senglea we provide healthy recreation in the form of outings and other activities that we organise from time to time.

At the moment two members from Senglea who dedicated their life helping children and showing them Jesus in their lives are residents of St Anne's Home in Senglea. This has created the need for new people to work in this particular field of God. We are constantly praying so that God grants our Division with new vocations from Senglea so that Jesus can remain loved. All those of you who are interested in getting more information about our work should contact Ms Maryanne Briffa, who is the person in charge of this branch of M.U.S.E.U.M in Senglea.
