Family Parish Commission

The Family Parish Commission was set up  in October 2011 by the then archpriest Can. Joe Grech and Fr. Robin Camilleri aiming to continue the pastoral work with engaged and married couples. This commission meets regularly and organizes both religious and social activities for the families of the parish.

The Commission is responsible for the organisation of  special Holy Masses on Mother's Day and Father's Day and also  during the novena in honour of the birth of Our Lady  on the  Days dedicated namely to: new members of the Christian Community, Deceased members of the community and Parish Families. In December we celebrate the feast of the Holy Family during a special Mass for families.

The purpose of the Family Parish Commission is to offer support to the family in today’s realities by holding talks for parents on different family aspects. The Commission organises also Couples Lenten talks and is also responsible for the holding of Cana Movement courses for couples in preparation for the sacrament of marriage. Seminars for engaged couples just before their marriage fall also under the remit of this commission.

May, with the help of Our Lord, the work of this Family Commission helps more families realise the need to get closer to Our Lord and His Mother Mary.
